🔼 Great Start. The volleyball team started the 2025 season with a 3-0 sweep over N.C. Central. The Hokies had 44 kills. Graduate transfer Ainsley Ranstead led the team with 12 kills. Next, Virginia Tech beat UNCW 3-0. Payton Woods had 12 kills of the 35 team kills. The women fell to Lindenwood 3-2 in the last match of the Seahawk Classic.

🔼 Lots of Shots. The women’s soccer team beat Campbell 5-1 on the road. The Hokies had 21 shots, and 12 were on goal. Eliana Salama, Hannah Pachan and Taylor Price each scored one goal and Anna Weir scored two.

🔼 Schedule Release. Head Coach Sergio Lopez Miro announced Swimming & Diving’s 2025-26 schedule on Thursday morning. The Hokies will host three dual meets and the Virginia Tech Invitational at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. The season kicks off with the annual Hokie Belt Challenge as the squad splits in two, pitting the orange team against the maroon team, on September 20th.

Tied Up. The men’s soccer team tied Marshall 2-2. Ian Marcano scored in the 43rd minute to put the Hokies ahead. Alex Perez scored in the 80th minute. The Hokies are now 2-0-1 this season.
