🔼 It’s Set. The game promotions and theme days for the upcoming 2025-26 men’s basketball season have been announced! The schedule features themed games like Military Appreciation, Hokies in the Fast Lane, Hokies Family Day, Paint & Pancakes, Youth Sports Night and more. Talented halftime performers set to appear include High Performance Canines, Red Panda, Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act, the Spyros Bros and Jessica Haas to name a few.

🔼 Top Scorer. Men’s soccer player Dagur Traustason was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week. The freshman carried the Virginia Tech offense, putting away all five goals during the last week of action. His three goals in the team’s 3-0 win over Longwood marked the first hat-trick for the program since 2019.

Hall of Fame. Softball head coach Pete D’Amour will be inducted into the Greater Washington Fastpitch Softball Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place between Virginia Tech’s fall ball games against George Mason at Woodgrove High School in Purcellville, Va., on Oct. 18. The first game begins at noon. D’Amour, who is honored for his play in the men's division with multiple national and world tournament appearances, will also be recognized for his successful coaching career.
