🔼 First Dub. The women’s basketball team won its first game of the 2025-26 regular season. The Hokies beat Towson 100-56. Two players recorded double-doubles— Kilah Freelon (15 points, 11 rebounds) and Kayl Petersen (17 points, 11 rebounds). The women shot 48.7% from the field and didn’t let Towson score over 17 points in any quarter.

🔼 Anotha’ One. The ACC named Declan Quill the Offensive Player of the Week. This is his second weekly honor of the season. Quill totaled four points in the Hokies’ 3-3 tie against Clemson. He scored a goal and had two assists.

50 & Forever. This season marks the 50th season of women’s basketball at Virginia Tech. To celebrate, we are taking a look back on the rise of the program and the fans who fueled it. Taylor Zelman was a member of the Cassell Guard Executive Board during her junior and senior years. The board has been responsible for filling up the seats at almost every home basketball game since 2009.
