Good morning. A new episode of the Level Seven podcast is out! Virginia Tech broadcasters Bill Roth and Mike Burnop preview Saturday's game between the Hokies and Vanderbilt. We will replay and examine some of the key plays from the season opener against South Carolina. Head Coach Brent Pry, Offensive Coordinator Philip Montgomery and Defensive Coordinator Sam Siefkes provide an update on their respective units. Plus, we'll be joined by Jaylin Lane, who starred for the Hokies last year and who makes his NFL debut for the Washington Commanders on Sunday against the NY Giants.

🔼 Schedule Release! The women’s basketball team released its 2025-26 ACC schedule. The Hokies’ first conference game will be on Dec. 7. The women will play 18 conference games, once against 16 ACC foes and twice against Virginia.

🔼 Next Game. The football team hosts Vanderbilt on Saturday for its first home game. Vanderbilt will be the Hokies’ second Southeastern Conference game this season. The Commodores are 1-0, beating Charleston Southern 45-3 last week. Virginia Tech lost to Vanderbilt in a thrilling 34-27 overtime game last season. The men will look to add to Brent Pry’s initial home game winning streak of 3-0.

🟠 ONE BIG THING

Faith and Friendship. Wrestling head coach Tony Robie’s and Norm Latona’s lives changed on January 18 this year. Robie got a call that he was going to donate his kidney to Latona. Latona created the Warrior Wrestling Club. That is where he met Robie and then-Virginia Tech head coach Kevin Dresser hosted a clinic with the club. The two created a special bond from that day on.
