The women's soccer team will compete in the Elite 8 on Saturday.

🔼 Celebrate x2. The women’s soccer team beat UCLA 2-1 to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. Allie George and Natalie Mitchell scored for the Hokies. This is the program’s sixth appearance in the Sweet Sixteen. The Hokies then beat Iowa 1-0 with a goal from George. This is the first time the program will play in the quarterfinals since 2013. The team faces Duke on Saturday at 6 pm. ET.
🔼 Triple-Double. In an 87-69 victory over Elon, Rose Micheaux became the second player in program history to record a triple-double. She had 19 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists, eclipsing the record for the fastest triple-double in program history with 9:39 to play.
🔼 Undefeated. The wrestling team had its second-ranked victory of the season as they took down No. 17 Rutgers. The Hokies won seven out of ten matches. Andy Smith, No. 13, defeated No. 12 John Poznanski. Lennox Wolak won with a pin.
🔼 Three All Around. The swim and dive team competed at the Wolfpack Elite GAC Invitational, and the men and women both finished in third place. Carmen Weiler Sastre set a new program fourth-best time in the 50 freestyle with a 22.11 time. Emma Atkinson was first in the 200 free. Carles Coll Marti swam the fastest 200 breast in the NCAA this season with a 1:50.09 time.

🟠 ONE BIG THING
Honored. Seven men’s cross country athletes ran at the NCAA Championship. Georgie Couttie led the team in 14th place with a time of 29:07.4. He earned the first All-American honor of his career and the first for the program since 2019.
