🤼‍♂️ 5th straight win
⚾️ First series win

🔼 Win #5. The No. 10 wrestling team won its fifth straight meet, beating No. 18 Pitt. The Hokies won seven of ten bouts, racking up five bonus point victories. In the 174-pound bout, No. 26 Lennox Wolak upset No. 18 Luca Augustine.

🔼 Series Win. The baseball team opened its season with a 2-1 series win against Bucknell. The men won 19-0 and 27-1. Game one was the program’s largest shutout victory while in the ACC. The Hokies had 19 hits and 18 RBIs. Jake Marciano picked up the win on the mound. Game three marked an ACC-era record for most runs scored, chalking 27 runs for the 12th time. Sam Tackett had two home runs and six RBIs. Luca Perriello hit a grand slam for his first career at-bat.

🔼 Weekend Wins. The softball team competed in the Purple & Gold Challenge. The women beat UT-Arlington 8-0 and 6-0 and No. 21 Northwestern 3-0. Emma Lemley became the first Hokie in program history to throw back-to-back perfect games. Bre Peck had two home runs in Saturday’s doubleheader.

🔼 Love Wins. The men’s tennis team put their heart into its Valentine’s Day win over Tulane. The Hokies won 4-3, with one doubles win and four singles wins.

🔼 Court Report. The women’s tennis team had many weekend wins. The Hokies beat Marshall 5-2, Furman 5-2 and Richmond 6-1. Overall, the women won six doubles matches and 12 singles matches.

Multi-Meet Weekend. The track and field team competed at the BU Valentine Invitational, Tiger Paw Invitational and the Don Kirby Elite Invitational. Overall, the Hokies collected two national records, one program record, 11 all-time top-10 performances, one event win, 18 ACC qualifying marks and 14 personal records.
