Inside HokieSports: WSoccer Beats Clemson
The women's soccer team beat Clemson 2-1.
Good morning! It’s Friday the 13th! Don’t let a black cat cross your path 👀. Fun Fact: the fear of Friday the 13th is called friggatriskaidekaphobia.
Friggatriskaidekaphobia comes from Frigg, the Norse goddess of wisdom after whom Friday is named, and the Greek words triskaideka, meaning 13, and phobia, meaning fear.
What else are we kicking into today’s edition, Hokies?

🟠 ONE BIG THING
Dual Threat. Did you know that Jaylin Lane plays on both offense and special teams? He excels in both also. Lane operates from the slot and is a reliable pass-catcher. Last season, he caught 16 of 17 passes behind the line of scrimmage, turning them into 155 yards after the catch and two touchdowns. On special teams, he returned a punt for a touchdown last season. This season, he had a 58-yard punt return touchdown against Marshall.
